School TIme Again

Hello,

I am going to school again. Jr Secondary for the first time.  School starts within less than 24 hours and I can’t wait to go to school again.  I hope i do well in Jr. Secondary school.  I’m going to the same Jr. Secondary school that my Dad went to too.  My dad thought that was great.

I really enjoyed my summer.  I had lots of fun camping with my family.  We went camping last weekend here near our town, and at a different campground nearby last week also.  The month of July was spent mostly traveling and going to camp.  I enjoyed camp this year.  I also enjoyed summer.

Well, fall and winter will be coming soon.  We get snow where I live in the winter.  I enjoy the snow, but sometimes, it just gets too cold around here.  Fall, or autumn, is another time I enjoy.  It’s when the weather, is inbetween hot and cold, but is mostly cool.

Well, I hope you guys enjoy your school year as well as I do mine.

Fw: How Smart is Your Right Foot?

This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you
will keep trying it at least 50 more times to see if
you can outsmart your foot. But you can’t!!!

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off
the floor and make clockwise circles with
it.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air
with your right hand. Your foot will change
direction!!!

I told you so… And there is nothing you can do about
it.

Make sure you pass this on to your friends… They won’t
be able to believe it
either!!!

Compared with Gasoline…..

gas prices and others: interesting thoughts…

Subject: Compared with
Gasoline…..

Think a gallon of gas is expensive? (In the US,
gas is averaged at $2.50 US/gallon – Aug. 2005)

This makes one
think, and also puts things in perspective.

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29
………. $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19
…………$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ……………..
$10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ……….. $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ………….. $33.60 per gallon

Vick’s
Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ………. $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85
….. ……$123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ……………….
$25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 ……………………$84.48 per
gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER…

Evian water 9 oz
$1.49……….$21.19 per gallon?! $21.19 for WATER

and the buyers don’t
even know the source. (Evian spelled backwards is
Naive.)

So,
the next time you’re at the pump, be glad your car doesn’t run on
water,
Scope, or Whiteout, or God forbid Pepto Bismal or Nyquil.

Just a
little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the
pump…

You Are The Carpenter

You Are The Carpenter

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of
his plans to leave the house-building business and live a leisurely life with
his wife enjoying his extended family. He would m iss the paycheck, but he
needed to retire. They could get
by.

       The contractor was sorry
to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a
personal favor.  The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see
that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used
inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career. When
the carpenter finished his work the employer came to inspect the house. He
handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my
gift to you."

       The carpenter
was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house,
he would have done it all so differently.

So
it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than
our best into the building. Then with a shock we realize we have to live in
the house we have built. If we could do it over, we’d do it much
differently.  But we cannot go
back.

       You are the carpenter.
Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. "Life is a
do-it-yourself project," someone has said. Your attitudes and the choices you
make today, build the "house" you live in tomorrow.  Build
wisely!

Remember… Work like you don’t need the
money.
Love like you’ve never been hurt.
Dance like nobody is
watching.

Site Renamed

THIS SITE’S NAME HAS NOW CHANGED

Hi Everyone

My Site’s name has changed. It’s Previous name, if you ever visited it before, was Matt’s Space for Info!  My new name is now just Matt’s Site.  And I am proud to anounce after 5 months of owning a space, have had over 200 visitors already!  I’ll keep you updated.

Camp Sagitawa

I had great fun at Camp Sagitawa.  It was raining most of the time, but we still managed to have fun, including playing wide game in the (pouring) rain.  At one time while we where sitting in our cabin, the rain was pouring so hard that we could barely hear ourselves talk. We even had a lightning storn (one struck within a 1/4 mile of the chapel at Camp Sagitawa) that included rain and (small, but lots of) hail.

Camping was great too. I enjoyed going on bike rides the most.  And making S’mores (my favorite).

I’ll be going to see the AirShow in town, where the Snowbirds are performing.  The Snowbirds were actually flying over the city today.  We saw them a total of 3 to 5 times today.  And we’ll probably see more of them tomorrow.

For the first hour of the day, their will be the sports awards assembly.  The day after June 28th is the last day  of school. I cant wait. Then we go on our lond camping trip. to Bear Lake, described in one of the blogs below.  Check out the web-page  as it has just gone undeer a major renovation on the "index2" page.  I’ll be sure to remember to check my space so it won’t be reset.   I’ll be sure to tell you all about our camping trip we took when we get back.

Tests AGAIN

Hi Everyone

Our teacher learnt a few days ago, that we had more
tests to do, but weren’t related to FSA testing.  We had to do a standard
writing test, just so others can see what level of writing we are at.  I
also had to do a vocabulary test, and a comprehension test.  We had the
writing test in the morning, and the vocabulary and comprehension in the
afternoon.

My dad is currently at a Mission’s trip, if you
didn’t know. It’s sort of lonely without Dad around.
